  • 13 teaspoons Chinese 5 spice
  • 1/3 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Thai chili sauce
  • 810 flour tortillas, warmed
  • 4 Persian cucumbers, chopped
  • 2 cups cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Thai basil, chopped
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted peanuts
  • chili paste, for serving
  • toasted sesame oil, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with black pepper until browned (approximately 5 minutes). Add garlic, ginger, and Chinese 5 spice; cook for an additional minute. Stir in tamari and Thai chili sauce; simmer until the mixture is well-coated (3-5 minutes).
  2. Microwave tortillas for about 15 seconds each to soften them.
  3. Spoon beef mixture onto each tortilla and top with cucumbers, herbs, and peanuts. Roll tightly.
  4. Serve warm with chili paste and toasted sesame oil on the side.
