- 1–3 teaspoons Chinese 5 spice
- 1/3 cup tamari or soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Thai chili sauce
- 8–10 flour tortillas, warmed
- 4 Persian cucumbers, chopped
- 2 cups cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup Thai basil, chopped
- 1/3 cup chopped roasted peanuts
- chili paste, for serving
- toasted sesame oil, for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with black pepper until browned (approximately 5 minutes). Add garlic, ginger, and Chinese 5 spice; cook for an additional minute. Stir in tamari and Thai chili sauce; simmer until the mixture is well-coated (3-5 minutes).
- Microwave tortillas for about 15 seconds each to soften them.
- Spoon beef mixture onto each tortilla and top with cucumbers, herbs, and peanuts. Roll tightly.
- Serve warm with chili paste and toasted sesame oil on the side.
