Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 cup shredded coconut

  • 1 cup drained mandarin oranges

  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix (for extra creaminess)

Instructions

Step 1: Combine the Base

  1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the crushed pineapple (with juice), cherry pie filling, and sweetened condensed milk until fully combined.

Step 2: Fold in the Whipped Topping

  1. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Step 3: Add the Fun Stuff

  1. Stir in the mini marshmallows and chopped pecans or walnuts if using.

  2. Add any optional extras like coconut or mandarin oranges at this stage.

Step 4: Chill

  1. Cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 2 hours, or until well chilled and the flavors meld together.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Give it a gentle stir before serving.

  2. Spoon into bowls or serve it as part of a dessert spread!

Notes

Use Thawed Whipped Topping – Makes folding much easier and keeps the salad light.
Drain Extra Juicy Add-ins – If using mandarin oranges or extra fruit, make sure they are well-drained.
Chill Thoroughly – Helps the flavors blend and gives the salad a better texture.
Customize It – Try different pie fillings like blueberry or strawberry for fun variations.
Make It Ahead – It actually tastes even better the next day!
