Ingredients

Scale

For the Layers:

  • 1 (11 oz) box vanilla wafers or graham crackers

  • 4 medium ripe bananas, sliced

  • 2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant banana pudding mix

  • 2¾ cups cold milk

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Garnish:

  • Crushed vanilla wafers

  • Sliced bananas

  • Extra whipped topping

Optional Add-ins:

  • Chocolate chips or shaved chocolate

  • Drizzle of caramel sauce

  • Toasted pecans for crunch

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Pudding Layer
In a large bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
Set aside to set slightly.

Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Layer
In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the vanilla extract and half of the whipped topping, folding gently until well combined.

Step 3: Assemble the Layers
Place a single layer of vanilla wafers or graham crackers on the bottom of the 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cookies.
Add a layer of sliced bananas.
Spread half of the banana pudding over the bananas.
Repeat with another layer of cookies, cream cheese mixture, bananas, and pudding.

Step 4: Top It Off
Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the final pudding layer.
Sprinkle with crushed cookies and extra banana slices for garnish.

Step 5: Chill
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.

Step 6: Serve
Slice and serve chilled. Add more crushed cookies or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Use Ripe Bananas – Slightly spotted bananas add the best flavor and sweetness.
Chill Long Enough – Minimum 4 hours is key for perfect slices.
Don’t Overmix – Gently fold in whipped topping to keep it light and airy.
Layer Neatly – Helps the lasagna set beautifully for slicing.
Make It Ahead – Best made a day in advance for ultimate flavor.
