Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 12 oz gluten free farfalle pasta
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 12 oz shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and cook gluten-free farfalle pasta until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
- In a bowl, mix paprika, oregano, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Season the chicken on both sides with this spice mix.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the seasoned chicken for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (about 10–12 minutes). Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add dry shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir for one minute.
- Add gluten-free flour while scraping the pan's bottom, then pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; whisk until smooth. Stir in shredded Parmesan until melted.
- Toss cooked farfalle into the creamy sauce mixture; add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
- Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top of the pasta before serving.
