  • 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 oz gluten free farfalle pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook gluten-free farfalle pasta until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. In a bowl, mix paprika, oregano, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Season the chicken on both sides with this spice mix.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the seasoned chicken for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (about 10–12 minutes). Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and add dry shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir for one minute.
  6. Add gluten-free flour while scraping the pan's bottom, then pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; whisk until smooth. Stir in shredded Parmesan until melted.
  7. Toss cooked farfalle into the creamy sauce mixture; add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
  8. Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top of the pasta before serving.
