Ingredients

Scale

Basic Cottage Cheese Chips:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat, small curd works best)

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Optional Flavor Variations:

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (for cheesy flavor)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder or onion powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika or chili powder (for a spicy kick)

  • Everything bagel seasoning

  • Dried herbs like oregano or Italian seasoning

  • Nutritional yeast (for a savory, cheesy taste)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Blend the Cottage Cheese
Add cottage cheese to a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth—this should take 20–30 seconds.
The texture should be creamy with no curds remaining.

Step 3: Season the Mixture
Pour the blended cottage cheese into a bowl.
Stir in salt, pepper, and any seasonings or mix-ins you like.
Taste and adjust seasoning before baking.

Step 4: Spoon or Pipe onto the Baking Sheet
Using a spoon or piping bag, drop small circles (about 1–1½ inches wide) onto the lined baking sheet.
Leave space between each chip, as they’ll spread slightly.
Smooth the tops with the back of the spoon if needed for even cooking.

Step 5: Bake Until Golden and Crisp
Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and firm to the touch.
Flip chips halfway through for an even crisp (optional, but recommended).
Keep an eye on them toward the end to avoid overbaking.

Step 6: Cool and Enjoy
Let the chips cool on the baking sheet for 5–10 minutes—they’ll continue to crisp as they cool.
Carefully peel off the parchment and transfer to a plate or container.

Notes

  • Blend Until Smooth – This helps them bake evenly and gives a better chip texture.
  • Don’t Make Them Too Thick – Aim for thin, even rounds to get maximum crispiness.
  • Use Parchment Paper – Prevents sticking and makes cleanup easy.
  • Customize the Flavors – Try taco seasoning, ranch mix, or cinnamon sugar for a twist.
  • Let Them Cool Fully – They firm up more as they rest after baking.
