  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garnish: shaved Parmesan cheese, black pepper, fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season diced chicken with salt, Italian seasoning, mustard powder, paprika, and chili flakes in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a large Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat; sauté onions, carrots, celery until softened (5-7 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in seasoned chicken and cook until no longer pink. Add thyme and rosemary.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture; stir to coat evenly.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth, half-and-half, soy sauce, hot sauce. Incorporate uncooked rice and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is tender. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
