- 1 pound elbow macaroni or cellentani pasta
- 5 tablespoons butter (4 for the cheese sauce, 1 for cooking)
- 16 oz lobster meat
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk (adjust as needed)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded fontina cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmigiano reggiano
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add lobster meat and Old Bay Seasoning; heat through and set aside.
- In the same pot used for pasta, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour for about one minute.
- Gradually add milk while whisking until smooth. Stir in heavy cream, onion powder, salt, and pepper; cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheddar, fontina, and parmigiano reggiano until melted.
- Combine pasta with cheese sauce; fold in lobster meat gently.
- Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and transfer the mixture into it.
- Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
