Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1 oz onion soup mix
- 1/4 cup milk
- 20 Ritz crackers
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced yellow onions
- 21 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup (2 x 10.5 oz cans)
- 0.87 oz brown gravy mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground beef, egg, onion soup mix, and milk.
- Crush Ritz crackers in a Ziploc bag and add them to the mixture; blend well using your hands.
- Shape the mixture into evenly sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat; brown patties on both sides for about 3 minutes each.
- Spray the Crock Pot with cooking spray and layer diced onions at the bottom before adding browned patties on top.
- In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, brown gravy mix, and beef broth; whisk until smooth, then pour over patties in the Crock Pot.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
- After cooking, thicken the sauce by mixing corn starch with water and adding it to the pot; cook for an additional 10 minutes before serving.
