Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee (not brewed coffee)

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp hot water

  • 1 cup milk (any variety – dairy or plant-based)

  • Ice cubes (optional for iced version)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • A sprinkle of cocoa powder, cinnamon, or nutmeg

  • Flavored syrups like caramel or hazelnut

Instructions

Step 1: Whip the Coffee

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water.

  2. Whisk vigorously by hand (about 5-7 minutes) or use an electric mixer (about 2-3 minutes) until the mixture turns thick, light, and fluffy with stiff peaks.

Step 2: Prepare the Milk Base

  1. Fill a glass with ice cubes if making iced Dalgona coffee.

  2. Pour the milk into the glass or mug, leaving a little room at the top.

Step 3: Top with the Whipped Coffee

  1. Spoon the whipped coffee mixture over the milk.

  2. Gently swirl or spread the top with a spoon for a pretty finish.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

  1. Optionally sprinkle cocoa powder, cinnamon, or a drizzle of flavored syrup.

  2. Serve with a straw or spoon for stirring before sipping.

Notes

Use Instant Coffee Only – Brewed coffee will not whip properly.
Equal Ratio – Stick to the 1:1:1 ratio for consistent results.
Whip Long Enough – You’ll know it’s ready when the mixture is pale and holds stiff peaks.
Customize Sweetness – Adjust sugar based on your taste preference.
Serve Immediately – Best enjoyed fresh for maximum frothiness.
