  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 large cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 package (22 ounces) frozen cheese tortellini
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Seasonings: garlic powder, dried basil, parsley, oregano, thyme, crushed red pepper flakes (optional), salt, and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 3-quart baking dish.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with minced garlic until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
  3. Season with garlic powder, basil, parsley, oregano, thyme, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce until combined.
  5. Slightly thaw frozen tortellini in a colander under warm water; drain well.
  6. Mix tortellini into the meat sauce along with half of the mozzarella until melted.
  7. Pour mixture into the baking dish; top with remaining mozzarella and sprinkle with Parmesan.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
