- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 large cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
- 1 package (22 ounces) frozen cheese tortellini
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (grated)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Seasonings: garlic powder, dried basil, parsley, oregano, thyme, crushed red pepper flakes (optional), salt, and black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 3-quart baking dish.
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with minced garlic until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
- Season with garlic powder, basil, parsley, oregano, thyme, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Stir in marinara sauce until combined.
- Slightly thaw frozen tortellini in a colander under warm water; drain well.
- Mix tortellini into the meat sauce along with half of the mozzarella until melted.
- Pour mixture into the baking dish; top with remaining mozzarella and sprinkle with Parmesan.
