  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 packets brown gravy mix
  • 2 ¼ cups water
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh minced parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Shape into four patties.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the patties for about 3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms for 5-6 minutes until tender.
  4. Stir in brown gravy mix and water gradually, whisking until smooth. Add ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Return patties to the skillet and simmer for 7-10 minutes until fully cooked through.
  6. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve with your favorite sides.
