  • 1/8 teaspoon Ground Cloves (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups Chocolate Chips or Chunks

Instructions

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the cold butter, dark brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy (about four minutes).
  3. Add the molasses and egg; mix well until fully combined.
  4. Gradually fold in flour, baking soda, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves (if using), and chocolate chips until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into balls of desired size (4 ounces recommended) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 8-10 minutes until slightly underdone; cool on the baking sheet for about 10-15 minutes before transferring.
