- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- ½ cup red grape juice
- 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 10.5 ounce can French Onion Soup
- 8 slices Thick Sliced Bread
- ½ cup Butter (Softened)
- 1 cup Gruyere Cheese (Shredded)
- 1 cup White Cheddar Cheese (Shredded)
- Onion Jam
- 3 tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until soft and golden brown (20-25 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- Stir in rosemary, bay leaves, thyme, brown sugar, red grape juice, and balsamic vinegar. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened, then remove herbs.
