Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¾ cup diced fresh strawberries

  • 1 tbsp strawberry jam (optional, for extra sweetness)

For the Sandwiches:

  • 8 slices of white or brioche bread (soft and thick)

  • 2 tbsp butter (for pan-frying)

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

For Topping:

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

  • Extra strawberry slices or jam (optional for serving)

Instructions

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gently fold in diced strawberries and a bit of jam if using. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Bread
Lay out the bread slices on a clean surface.
Spread about 2 tablespoons of the strawberry cheesecake mixture on half the slices.
Top with the remaining slices to form sandwiches. Press the edges gently to seal.

Step 3: Make the Egg Wash
In a small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and cinnamon (if using).
Dip each sandwich lightly into the egg mixture, coating both sides.

Step 4: Pan-Fry the Sandwiches
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add 2 sandwiches at a time and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crisp.
Repeat with remaining butter and sandwiches.

Step 5: Dust and Serve
Place fried sandwiches on a plate and dust generously with powdered sugar.
Slice diagonally and serve warm with extra strawberries or jam on the side.

Notes

Use Soft Bread – Brioche or sandwich bread works best for a tender bite.
Seal the Edges – Pressing the bread keeps the filling from leaking during cooking.
Don’t Overfill – Too much filling can ooze out while frying.
Cook on Medium Heat – To ensure the bread crisps while the filling warms through.
Serve Immediately – These are best enjoyed fresh off the pan.
