Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Bread
Butter both sides of each sourdough slice.
Toast on a skillet over medium heat or in a 400°F (200°C) oven until golden and crisp, about 3–4 minutes per side.
Rub the top side lightly with the cut side of a garlic clove for extra flavor. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter Lobster
In a skillet, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in lobster meat, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Cook for 2–3 minutes, just until lobster is warmed through and coated in the garlic butter.
Stir in fresh parsley and remove from heat.
Step 3: Assemble the Sourdough
Spoon the garlic butter lobster mixture evenly over the toasted sourdough slices.
Garnish with more parsley, lemon zest, or cheese if desired.
Step 4: Serve Immediately
Serve warm as an open-faced sandwich or slice into bite-size pieces for a party platter.
Notes
Use Fresh Lobster – Cooked tail or claw meat works best; avoid imitation. Don’t Overcook – Lobster just needs to be heated through to stay tender. Toast Bread Well – A crisp base supports the rich topping. Add Lemon – Balances the richness with brightness. Make It a Meal – Serve with a fresh salad or soup for a complete dish.
