Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease well.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, oil, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
Add the hot fudge sauce and stir until fully combined.
Step 4: Combine Wet & Dry
Add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined—don’t overmix.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Step 5: Pour & Swirl
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Optional: Spoon 2 tablespoons of extra hot fudge on top and swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
If the top starts to darken too quickly, tent with foil for the last 15 minutes.
Step 7: Cool & Serve
Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Slice once cooled, or serve warm with ice cream or extra fudge.
Notes
Use Room Temp Fudge – Helps mix smoothly into the batter.
Don’t Overbake – Slightly underdone = extra fudgy texture.
Cool Before Slicing – Keeps the crumb intact and gooey centers preserved.
Use High-Quality Cocoa – For deeper chocolate flavor.
Double the Batch – This loaf freezes beautifully for later indulgence.
