  • ½ pound turkey turkey turkey bacon
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • ½ bell pepper
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup grape juice
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 1½ cups water
  • pounds medium raw shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 4 ears of corn (kernels)
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Finely chop onion, bell pepper, celery, green onions, and parsley; mince garlic and remove corn kernels.
  2. In a large Dutch oven over medium heat, cook chopped turkey turkey bacon until crispy. Drain excess oil.
  3. Add chopped vegetables to the pot and sauté until softened; then add minced garlic.
  4. Deglaze with grape juice, scraping up browned bits.
  5. Melt butter in the pot; stir in flour to create a roux and cook until slightly darkened.
  6. Gradually whisk in chicken stock and water; bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Stir in seasoned shrimp and corn kernels along with warmed heavy cream; let simmer for an additional 5 minutes until shrimp are pink.
  8. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
