These fries are perfectly seasoned and topped with a creamy cheese sauce and zesty ranch dressing, making them an ideal snack for any occasion—be it game day, family gatherings, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2832 ounces frozen French fries
  • 1 ½ teaspoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 4 tablespoons ranch dressing (plus more for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 cups medium cheddar cheese (freshly shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the fry package directions. Line two baking sheets with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix all seasonings except ranch dressing. Spread fries evenly on baking sheets and sprinkle with seasoning, reserving half a teaspoon for later.
  3. Toss fries gently to coat evenly and bake as per package instructions, rotating halfway through if necessary.
  4. In a medium skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter and whisk in flour until combined. Gradually add milk until thickened.
  5. Stir in shredded cheese until melted and smooth. Keep warm on low heat.
  6. To serve, place fries on plates and pour cheese sauce over them. Drizzle with ranch dressing and sprinkle reserved seasoning.
