Instructions
Step 1: Make the Oreo Crust
-
Line the baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
-
Crush Oreo cookies in a food processor or in a sealed bag using a rolling pin until fine crumbs form.
-
Mix Oreo crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
-
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish to form an even crust.
-
Place in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
Step 2: Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
6. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
7. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and creamy.
8. Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
Step 3: Add Color (Optional)
9. If using food coloring, divide the mixture into three bowls.
10. Leave one white, and tint the others red and blue.
11. Spoon dollops of each color over the crust and swirl gently with a knife or skewer for a marbled effect.
Step 4: Decorate & Chill
12. Sprinkle the top with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
13. Garnish with extra Oreo pieces if desired.
14. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Step 5: Slice & Serve
15. Once set, lift the bars out using the parchment overhang.
16. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
Use Full-Fat Cream Cheese – For the richest, creamiest texture.
Chill Thoroughly – At least 4 hours is key to firm, sliceable bars.
Use Fresh Whipped Topping – For a homemade version, beat 1 cup heavy cream with 2 tbsp sugar until stiff peaks form.
Make it Swirled – For a show-stopping look, use gel food coloring to create a festive swirl.
