Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds top sirloin (thinly sliced)
  • 2 bell peppers (thinly sliced)
  • 1 yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine steak slices with olive oil and toss until evenly coated. Season with all-purpose seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper; mix well.
  2. Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions; sauté until softened and slightly browned around the edges. Push them to one side.
  3. Add the seasoned steak to the skillet's opposite side and sear for about 4-5 minutes before combining with the vegetables. Cook until the steak is browned throughout, approximately 10-12 minutes.
  4. Add remaining butter to the skillet; when melted, stir in flour and mix well with meat and veggies. Gradually add beef broth while stirring until thickened. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
