Ingredients
- 2 pounds top sirloin (thinly sliced)
- 2 bell peppers (thinly sliced)
- 1 yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine steak slices with olive oil and toss until evenly coated. Season with all-purpose seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper; mix well.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions; sauté until softened and slightly browned around the edges. Push them to one side.
- Add the seasoned steak to the skillet's opposite side and sear for about 4-5 minutes before combining with the vegetables. Cook until the steak is browned throughout, approximately 10-12 minutes.
- Add remaining butter to the skillet; when melted, stir in flour and mix well with meat and veggies. Gradually add beef broth while stirring until thickened. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
