  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1/2 cup onion (diced)
  • 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup provolone cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, milk, diced green bell pepper, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until just combined.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté sliced onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms in olive oil until softened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of the loaf pan. Spread the cooled vegetable mixture over it and layer with provolone cheese slices. Top with remaining meat mixture.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes; then sprinkle shredded cheeses on top and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until melted.
