- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 dashes Cholula hot sauce (or Tabasco hot sauce)
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ¾ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil (for frying – at least 4 cups)
Instructions

- Fry coated chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through (about 2-3 minutes).
- Drain excess oil on paper towels before serving.
