  • 2 Tbsp orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup strawberry preserves (or strawberry jam)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for cream layer)
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1⅓ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 16 oz. mascarpone cheese (at room temperature)
  • ½ Tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 crispy ladyfingers (also called Savoiardi)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Fruit Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries with orange juice and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the Cream Layer: Whisk together egg yolks and sugar until thick. Blend in mascarpone, orange zest, and vanilla. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  3. Assemble Tiramisu: Spread half of the strawberry preserves in a baking dish. Dip ladyfingers briefly into the fruit mixture and layer them over the preserves. Add half of the cream layer on top. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  4. Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
