Ingredients
- 80 grams Red chilli pepper (or 2–3 tbsp dried crushed chilli flakes)
- 120 ml Distilled white vinegar
- 100 grams Sugar
- 120 ml Water
- 2 tbsp Garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the red chilli pepper, distilled white vinegar, sugar, water, minced garlic, and salt. Stir well.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers gently for about 5 minutes, ensuring the sugar dissolves completely.
- Mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then add it to the saucepan while stirring continuously. Cook for another couple of minutes until thickened to your liking.
- Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool before transferring it to a jar for storage.
