1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze (Optional):

½ cup powdered sugar

1–2 tbsp milk

¼ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Oven & Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease it well with non-stick spray.
Step 2: Make the Sweet Potato Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
Whisk until smooth and well blended.
Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients
Sift in the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gently stir until just combined—do not overmix to keep the bread tender.
Step 4: Add Cinnamon Swirl (Optional)
Pour half the batter into the prepared pan.
Mix the cinnamon swirl ingredients in a small bowl and sprinkle half over the batter.
Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon swirl.
Use a knife to swirl gently for a marbled effect.
Step 5: Bake the Bread
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 50–60 minutes.
Check doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center—it should come out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 6: Add Optional Glaze
In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle over the cooled bread for a sweet finishing touch.
Notes
Use Fresh Sweet Potatoes – Roast or steam for the best flavor and moisture.
Don’t Overmix – Stir gently to avoid a tough texture.
Cool Completely – Let the loaf cool before slicing to keep it from falling apart.
Customize – Add chopped nuts or chocolate chips for a fun twist.
Double the Batch – This bread freezes well for future cravings.
