  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 2 cups chopped smoked beef
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 4 diced jalapeños
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped smoked beef, softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, diced jalapeños, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  2. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in each egg roll wrapper's center. Fold corners in and roll tightly; seal edges with beaten egg.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pot or fryer to approximately 350°F.
  4. Carefully fry egg rolls in batches for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  6. For the spicy honey drizzle, warm honey in a saucepan and steep sliced jalapeño for 5 minutes.
  7. Drizzle spicy honey over hot egg rolls before serving.
