For the Eggs:

  • 12 large eggs

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (plus extra for sprinkling)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Shrimp:

  • 12 small shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

Optional Garnishes:

  • Fresh chopped parsley

  • Sliced green onions

  • Lemon wedges


Instructions

Step 1: Hard-Boil the Eggs

  1. Place eggs in a large pot and cover with cold water.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  3. Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.

  4. Transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool completely.

  5. Peel and slice eggs in half lengthwise.

  6. Scoop out yolks into a mixing bowl and place whites on a serving platter.

Step 2: Make the Deviled Egg Filling

  1. Mash the egg yolks with a fork until fine.

  2. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  3. Mix until creamy and smooth.

  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Step 3: Cook the Cajun Shrimp

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and salt.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  3. Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 4: Assemble the Deviled Eggs

  1. Fill each egg white half with the creamy yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.

  2. Top each deviled egg with a Cajun shrimp.

  3. Sprinkle extra Cajun seasoning over the tops for color and a little extra kick.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  1. Garnish with chopped parsley or sliced green onions if desired.

  2. Serve with lemon wedges for a bright finish.
