Ingredients
For the Cones:

4 large whole wheat tortillas (8–10 inches)

Olive oil spray or 1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp paprika
For the Taco Filling:

1 lb (450g) lean ground beef or chicken
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tbsp taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
-
¼ cup water
-
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pizza-Style Layers:

½ cup shredded reduced-fat mozzarella or cheddar
-
½ cup tomato salsa or pizza sauce
-
1 cup shredded lettuce
-
½ cup diced tomatoes
-
½ avocado, diced (optional)
-
2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro or green onions
-
Optional: Greek yogurt or light sour cream for topping
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Tortilla Cones

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut each tortilla in half. Shape each half into a cone by overlapping the straight edges and securing with a toothpick or wrap in foil to hold shape.

Brush or spray with olive oil, and sprinkle with garlic powder and paprika.

Place cones upside down in a muffin tin or stand upright between crumpled foil on a baking sheet.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Let cool and remove toothpicks or foil.
Step 2: Cook the Taco Filling

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add chopped onion and sauté until soft, about 3 minutes.

Stir in garlic and ground meat, cooking until browned and crumbly.

Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: Assemble the Pizza Cones

Spoon a little salsa or pizza sauce into the bottom of each cone.

Add a layer of taco meat, then shredded cheese.

Bake cones filled with meat and cheese at 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes to melt the cheese (optional).

Remove from oven and top with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and herbs.

Add a dollop of Greek yogurt or sour cream if desired.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

Serve warm immediately with extra salsa on the side.
