For the Bake:

  • lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cooked and shredded

  • 3 cups broccoli florets, steamed or blanched

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1½ cups heavy cream

  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional, for authentic Alfredo flavor)

Optional Add-ins:

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat

  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms

  • ¼ cup cooked crumbled turkey bacon for extra flavor


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken and Broccoli
Cook and shred the chicken if not already prepared.
Steam or blanch the broccoli until just tender but still bright green.
Set aside.

Step 2: Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
Whisk in the parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
Simmer gently, whisking constantly, until thickened—about 4–5 minutes.

Step 3: Assemble the Bake
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, broccoli, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese.
Pour the Alfredo sauce over the top and mix until everything is well coated.

Step 4: Transfer to Baking Dish
Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

Step 5: Bake
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.

Step 6: Cool & Serve
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with additional parmesan or chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Don’t Overcook the Broccoli – Keep it crisp-tender so it doesn’t get mushy.
Use Freshly Grated Cheese – Melts better and gives a smoother sauce.
