  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peach filling by mixing cubed peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water; let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. For the dough, combine water, milk, cream, egg, and tangzhong until smooth. In another bowl, mix bread flour, sugar, yeast, and salt; then blend in wet ingredients until soft dough forms. Let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread thinly sliced peaches on top, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, roll tightly, and cut into pieces.
  4. Mix butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and granulated sugar for the crumb topping; sprinkle over the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. For the glaze, mix melted butter with room-temperature butter and cream cheese; gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream until creamy.
