  • 2 cups Basmati Rice
  • 2 ½ cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 can (about 14 oz) Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 small Onion (finely chopped, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 pound Sirloin Steak (cut into thin strips)
  • White Queso (for topping)
  • Fresh Cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse basmati rice under cold water until clear; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic and onion for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add rice to the skillet and toast for about 2 minutes.
  4. Combine crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and seasonings; stir to mix.
  5. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 18–20 minutes until rice is tender.
  6. While rice cooks, season steak with Montreal steak seasoning. In another skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat; cook steak for about 4–5 minutes per side.
  7. Fluff rice and top with steak and queso; garnish with cilantro.
