Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, cubed and softened

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white or yellow cake mix

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional for extra richness)

Optional Toppings:

  • Fresh strawberries, sliced

  • Whipped cream

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prepare

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.

Step 2: Layer the Ingredients

  1. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  2. Scatter the cubed cream cheese evenly over the pie filling.

  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly on top of the filling and cream cheese, covering everything completely.

  4. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much surface as possible.

  5. (Optional) Drizzle vanilla extract over the top for extra flavor.

Step 3: Bake the Cake

  1. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly around the edges.

  2. Let cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving to allow it to set.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Serve warm or at room temperature.

  2. Top with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar for a beautiful finish.

Notes

Cover Dry Spots – If any dry cake mix remains after baking, drizzle a little extra melted butter over it and bake a few more minutes.
Use Room Temperature Cream Cheese – It melts into the filling better and creates creamy pockets.
Customize It – Swap the strawberry pie filling for cherry, blueberry, or raspberry for a fun twist!
Don’t Stir – Layering is key for the perfect texture.
Serve Warm or Chilled – Both ways are absolutely delicious.
