  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces)

  • chopped green onions and/or sesame seeds (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch until smooth.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces seasoned with black pepper and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through (about 7-10 minutes).
  3. Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce into the skillet with the chicken. Stir and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
