  • 1 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 pound ground turkey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion for about 3-4 minutes until softened, then add minced garlic for another 30 seconds. Remove from heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the sautéed onions and garlic until fully incorporated.
  5. Add breadcrumbs and ground turkey; mix gently using your hands until just combined.
  6. Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. For the glaze, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl; brush over the meatloaf.
  8. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until an internal temperature of at least 165°F is reached. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
